In cooperation with the Department of Communication Arts, the Department of New Media and Communication and the Effective Communication Club, a trip to Başka İşler Advertising Agency was organized. Within the scope of the trip held on December 26, 2023, our students observed advertising practices in the agency environment. Our students who participated in workshops on advertising design were given trainings on various fields such as event organization and event production.

The "Career Method 2 in New Media - Alumni Panel" event was organized with the joint efforts of the Department of New Media and Communication, New Media and Communication Club and Kültür Point on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.  Among the professionally experienced IKU graduates to attend the event as speakers, Lecturer Mert Efe Anğın from IKU Department of New Media and Communication, Alfa Publishing Group Account Specialist Sercan Kurtez and CRM Medya Social Media Specialist Elif Saatcı shared their experiences and methods on forging their own career paths in the new media sector. 

The project titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Art of Animation in Türkiye: A Research from the Sector to the University”, in which Assist. Prof. Ceren Bilgici and Assist. Prof. Özge Özkök Şişman, from the Department of the New Media and Communication, participated as researchers, has been entitled to receive funds within the scope of TÜBİTAK 3005- Innovative Solutions Research Projects in Social and Human Sciences.
